Training Overview

Meeting your patients where they are at is the best way to get them to a healthier place. During this two-hour training, you will learn active listening and motivational interviewing skills that will help you understand your patients’ needs so you can develop a care plan that is achievable when they go home. This training is focused on communicating nutritional guidance to those patients with diabetes, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, and other chronic diseases.

The training will focus on the Ethiopian patient community as a case study. You will learn how to customize nutrition education to accommodate a patient’s existing dietary habits. You will walk away with a better understanding of how to best work with your patients and resources to support your efforts.
