Federal Policy and Advocacy

As Congress moves forward with health care reform, we want you to be aware of what changes are possible and how they would impact health care access.  On May 4, the House passed the American Health Care Act of 2017, which would replace many key provisions of the existing Affordable Care Act.  On June 22, the Senate released its version of the health reform bill; a vote has not been scheduled yet.  Below is a comparison of the current law and the House and Senate plans.
