Training and Program Manager


Emily Long is the Training and Program Manager with DC Primary Care Association (DCPCA).  In this role, Ms. Long is responsible for the design, development, implementation, coordination, and facilitation of the training and development program. She also serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in addition to overall coordination and monitoring of specific DCPCA programs. Emily has created and implements formal DCPCA training and technical assistance programs that include: coordinating training calendar, evaluation of training and outside resources, and handling logistics of venues and equipment.


Prior to joining DCPCA, Ms. Long was the Program Manager, for Inova HealthNET Programs with Inova Health System.  In this position, she was responsible for the overall quality and quality improvement of all Inova HealthNET programs. Ms. Long also worked with the Arthritis Foundation for three years where she began her service as a volunteer.  She served as the Public Health Information Coordinator for the Arthritis Foundation, National Office, Washington, D.C.  In this position, she was responsible for designing activities to implement portions of the Arthritis Foundation’s strategic plan aimed at reducing arthritis-related health disparities in the Hispanic and African American communities. Ms. Long holds a BS in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine from Troy University and an MA in Kinesiology and Sports Studies from East Tennessee State University.
