Associate Director of Advocacy & Public Policy

Eric Vicks is the Associate Director of Policy and Advocacy at DCPCA. Mr. Vicks joined DCPCA in June 2007. He is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with community based organizations as a means for furthering DCPCA’s mission and policy objectives.  

Prior to joining DCPCA, Mr. Vicks was the Policy/Advocacy Coordinator at Louisiana Public Health Institute. At LPHI he advocated for policies to improve the public health landscape. He also organized a state-wide tobacco control coalition to create clean indoor air policies for the people who live work and visit Louisiana.

Mr. Vicks has over 10 years of experience in advocacy and policy. He is passionate about ensuring all DC residents have equal opportunity and access to affordable health care.

Mr. Vicks was raised in the mid-west and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Cincinnati. Mr. Vicks now resides in Alexandria, VA. He spends free time volunteering and working to connect underserved communities to needed resources.
