Cancer Patient Navigator- Family & Medical

Marquita joined DCPCA in March 2018. As a Cancer Patient Navigator she is responsible for improving access to screenings for colorectal, breast, and cervical cancer as well as tobacco cessation interventions. Based at DCPCA's member health center, Family and Medical Counseling Service (FMCS), Marquita provides individualized patient support, helping clients to prevent cancer, screen for cancer, and gain access to quality cancer treatment. Marquita has extensive experience in patient navigation and community health, including four years as a Patient Navigator/Community Outreach Coordinator at Capital Breast Care Center. She received her Master’s degree in Public Health from George Washington University with a focus in Health Promotion.
