DCPCA President and CEO Appointed to DC Statewide Health Coordinating Council

WASHINGTON, D.C. (January 8, 2025) - The DC Primary Care Association (DCPCA) is pleased to announce that its President and CEO, Ruth Fisher Pollard, has been appointed to the DC Statewide Health Coordinating Council (SHCC). She was confirmed by the DC Council in December 2024. This prestigious appointment is a recognition of her breadth of experience and dedication to advancing healthcare outcomes through a range of progressive roles in public health and healthcare leadership.

 “I am honored to serve on the Statewide Health Coordinating Council,” said Ms. Pollard. “This opportunity will allow me to continue working with a group of key stakeholders to ensure that all residents in the District have access to high-quality healthcare services.”

 The DC Statewide Health Coordinating Council plays a critical role in advising the Mayor and other District agencies on healthcare priorities, including the planning and coordination of services, workforce development, and addressing barriers to access to healthcare.

Ruth brings over 20 years of experience to the SHCC, having served in key roles at the DC Department of Health, Children’s National Hospital, and Providence Hospital. She was named President & CEO of the DCPCA in January 2024.
