Valeria Melara

eCW Implementation Specialist

Valeria has been in the healthcare field for almost 20 years and using eCW since 2008. She volunteered at La Clinica Del Pueblo in her high school years and the passion to be involved and help the community grew from there.  She went to School for medical Assistant and begin working at La Clinica Del Pueblo where she gained a lot of health care knowledge in various roles. Aside from direct patient care, she learned to assist the medical department in more administrative ways, such as pulling reports, QI studies, learning more of eCW and its capabilities, and arranging and coordinating meetings and trainings for the department. In continuing her education, Valeria earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Administration from the University of Phoenix and grew into the management team where she was directly responsible for access and continuity of care.

Later, Valeria joined Gastrohealth, where she helped manage the overall operations of 5 locations with 3 endoscopy units. She reviewed operating metrics and optimized the use of existing eCW tools and processes. She also helped the practice pass their Ambulatory Accreditation survey in 2024 to remain compliant with national standards.

Now that she has joined DCPCA, she looks forward to working closely with the health centers to configure modules within eCW and aide with implementation.
